CPR Alert 1.0

Publisher Description

CPR Alert empowers the CPR certified to rapidly respond to heart attacks. A user can initiate a request for CPR in the app, and nearby CPR certified individuals with the app will be immediately notified in order to provide the earliest assistance for heart attack victims. Visit www.cpralert.org for more information and demos. Early initiation of CPR by bystanders significantly improves survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest [1] After calling 911, use CPR Alert to initiate a CPR request. Nearby CPR certified individuals who use the app will be notified and hopefully arrive early to provide CPR assistance. It must be started within 4-6 minutes from the time of collapse and must be followed within 10-12 minutes of the collapse by advanced life support in order to be effective [1]. Note: CPR responders must leave the app running in the foreground or background in order to receive alerts. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
